Mike is also co-founder of a small business he owns with his wife: Common Ground Conversations on Race in America, which helps companies, organizations and institutions build a common ground of knowledge, understanding and collaborative steps toward developing equitable environments, strategies and conditions that produce measurable outcomes. Mike also co-founded ScaleUp Partners, a leading national consultancy that produced the book, “The Future Economy and Inclusive Competitiveness: How Demographic Trends and Innovation can Produce Prosperity for All Americans,” by author Johnathan Holifield (a co-founder of ScaleUp Partners). Mike is also co-author of “A Playbook for Improving Diversity and Inclusion in Entrepreneurship Centers,” produced by the International Business Innovation Association (InBIA.org) and he is co-author of the textbook, “Media Innovation and Entrepreneurship” which is now used in more than 30 universities. Mike is a former Navy engineer, media innovations strategist and tech entrepreneur.
