Kathy Boswell
After graduating from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Boswell spent time working for UPS and MCI Telecommunications, before being hired by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, where she served in leadership and as a community relations specialist for many years.
Most recently, Boswell has held several community-focused leadership positions within the healthcare industry, including roles with Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Brookwood Baptist Health and The Healthcare Experience Foundation. She also brings deep knowledge from her time in the education field, working with the Birmingham Education Foundation.
As vice president of community engagement for The World Games 2022, Boswell will use her wealth of experience to provide ongoing communication and outreach in the community, cultivate tourism and cultural initiatives, and oversee a number of key programs, including the Live Healthy, Play Global education program, the World of Opportunity supplier diversity program and The World Games 2022 sustainability program.
Boswell was born and raised in Birmingham and has dedicated her professional life and voice to engaging the community and encouraging its people. Through her work with The World Games 2022, she will continue to pursue this passion throughout Birmingham.
