Lotus Family Development Center is a Black Millennial-founded and Black Millennial-led 501c3 nonprofit that is focused on supporting and empowering Black families in Birmingham’s under-resourced communities, with an emphasis on the North Birmingham community and neighborhoods throughout east Birmingham, by offering culturally relevant, evidence-based programming that focuses on three distinct but interconnected factors that greatly impact the overall welfare of these communities – Access to Healthy Food & Good Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Social Support.
