Leaders of Excellence equips At-Risk Disadvantaged Youth (Ages 15-24) with Skills, Resources, and Technical Assistance necessary to be Healthy, Socially Conscious, Self-Sufficient Adults. Our Life Skill focus areas include:
– Workforce Development: Leaders of Excellence Workforce Development program trains youth to be more productive and prosperous in the workplace. We introduce on-the job training options in Construction, Welding, Automotive, and CSI Science based learning. Our staff also helps youth create resumes, job search, interview prep, and equip youth with the tools they need to secure employment.
– Financial Literacy: Leaders of Excellence Financial Literacy program equips youth with the knowledge and skills they need to manage money effectively. We introduce checking/saving accounts, credit scores, fraud, and set financial goals. We also create 5-year financial plans designed to teach youth how to budget, save, and manage their finances.
– College Preparation: Leaders of Excellence College Preparation program prepares youth to attend college. We provide financial aid guidance, education about FASFA, loans, ACT prep & college essay writing.
– Youth Volunteerism: ‚Äã‚ÄãLeaders of Excellence gives today’s youth a platform where they can speak about current events and topics. We not only discuss issues in the community we create plans, volunteer, and advocate for change.
