Senior Vice President of Accounting Systems at Regions Bank

Angela McKenzie, A. G. Gaston Conference, Birmingham ALAngela McKenzie serves as Senior Vice President of Accounting Systems at Regions Bank.  She manages five enterprise wide accounting departments.  Her efforts were recognized with the Regions Bank Better Life Award, the top honor given to a Regions associate for outstanding dedication and job performance, as well as exemplary involvement and commitment to the community.  She is an active alumna of Alabama State University, having completed a B.S. in accounting.  McKenzie also graduated from the University of South Alabama’s Alabama Banking School.  

McKenzie puts her professional expertise into practice in support of several community service organizations, including Junior Achievement and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She is an active member of the St. Thomas United Methodist Church.   She is currently serving as the vice chair of the Alabama State University Board of Trustees.  In addition, she chairs the Audit, Nominating and Presidential Search committees.  She is a member of the 1867 Giving Society.  She received the Willis Wood Service Award from the ASU College of Business Administration.  McKenzie served ASU as the southeast regional treasurer of the National Alumni Association and chapter president and charter member of the Jefferson/Shelby County Alumni Chapter.  She is a charter member of the Birmingham Chapter of National Association of Black Accountants (NABA).


She has one daughter, Maya, who is a student at Georgetown Law School.
